The biggest problem I still see is the sabotage by profit hunters, and how to deal with them. I normally would have no problem civ ripping them so they learn.. but my conscience doesnt allow me to, thus creating a big conflict forcing me to take a break.

Step 1. Convince Istvan to remove traps. Now that freighters can nuke the gates, the traps aren't needed to protect your cargo.
Step 2. Pirate people who move your stuff to the wrong stations for profit. Hit them in their bottom line.

Hathor, I have the greatest respect for you and for what G.O.D. once was; exactly as I do for OAS. Both squads are suffering from the same thing that was plaguing Jumpgate prior to the Aubrey debacle... lack of active players.

The current combo of hardware problems (JOSSH & updater being down) and Themis's reaction to one pseudonym threatening he "might" assualt another pseudonym is both ridiculous and familiar at the same time. The last occurance of JOSSH being down for any length of time was when the majority of pilots left OAS for other things/other games. Sadly most have never come back. I also remember when Chubain was kicked out of the EP or test pilots program for something said on a "third party website". The EU exodus over language bans from our old friend GM_Trog is still both fresh and painful in my mind.
This cannot continue. I'm no more going to give up on Jumpgate than I am on OAS. I'll be here until the end, but in all honesty, if this is the way they are going to continue to run and ruin the game, I wish they would just take it down for good. Better yet, let Aubrey buy it and hire enough programmers to make it work like it both could and should. Right now, the dance has left me tired, disappointed and depressed.

Based on the facts collected from several mails, screenshots and also following you around in space, we have – after serious consideration – decided that your pilot Filzi_ is to receive a permanent ban and full stat reset for the suspected offense of cheating. Reasons for this being:

- The fact that you down ships in just a couple of hits

- The severe lag you get everytime you enter a battle, even though you didn’t lag before it (you’ve been followed)

- That you can hit ships in great distances, 6-7K sometimes greater, in a ammunition Phoenix, even though you can’t have a Duelist as you’ve used 4 Flashfires.

After consulting with GM Iskander, we have together come the conclusion to perm ban you, and reset your pilot, according to the End User License Agreement (EULA) which you agreed to when creating your account. Feel free to direct comments about this issue to acg@mightygames.com

Teamleader Anti Cheat Grief

i tried to direct comments with e-mail, forum, pm, etc....but i didnt recieved any answere...they just ignored me, over and over again. i have always meant that everyone is innocent, until the debt is proven but unfortunately i was wrong....
i only can say that the accusations are absolutely NOT true! surely, i can down ships with a couple of hits, but thats cause i do a lot of damage with my ammonixx. i dont know who had said that lag-thing, but on eu they said i have lags, but my ping was only about 40.....on us i have no lags but my ping is about 150.....WTF?
dont know who saw that i can hit pilots on 7k....absurd! and dont know who saw 4 ff on my nix while i fly and fight with ammo...absurd too! i flew laser with 4ff but never ammo!

as i am sick of creating new board accounts just to be able to defend myself against denunciation, "beschimpfungen" and unjustified accusations this will be my last post here for a while. funny thing is that those actions are taken and my board accounts are banned shortly after, so i cant defend myself. yes my friends, this is how things are handled here.... However i want to take a look at those accusations:

the following things i heard:

i use an aimbot,
am able to recharge my shields by pressing a button
have bigger shields
can create bugs by pressing a button
hit from a greater distance then the weapons are supposed to hit from
do more damage with my weapons
fly faster
higher acceleration
smaller hitbox
got more FF then fit into the ship
lag like hell
etc.etc.etc.

all those things were thrown at me and if i d go through my screenshots i d find 50 other things each more absurd then the previous. do you really believe all of that??? sometimes i ask myself who thinks such things??? how desperate one has to be to grief a player out of the game with such accusations?

Be assured: this time you got the wrong one! i have at no time used any illegal things, programs or any kind of cheats...this i swear on my life!

i also dont understand what i did to all the GMs/OPs to make them start those actions. I played my game for 2 years, never cheated etc. i ll spare the whole story as it is mentioned in other threads. Despite of that, as you also write, i get banned without any proof. There is no proof because there is nothing to proof! This is pure "willkuer"!

thanks in this thing to bad_mongo and the english community who seems to be far superior to the german one when it comes to objectivity. at the moment i dont know what to do.

like regan said: filzi was and is my only acc, you can see it in my stat.....it was my noob acc, i did a lot of practise and became better......seems like that was wrong, seems like you have to be moderately on eu if you dont want to get banned.

to our current rp: we were piratehunters on eu, and now we are pirates. we had a lot of fun since we started this rp. we got also a lot of positiv feedback......but also a few negative commends. well, we know that this isnt the best rp to get liked, but we are the same like we were on wow. we only do our rp now. so plz dont hate us for being pirates, we just wanna play Jumpgate. hate us ic....but not ooc.
and well, it takes more skill with the burglar/insight thing, thats right, but POD will always be a important part of our rp. but we work for other methods too, so iam sure we will do burglar/insight too soon.

Hmm....what can I say. I remember on EU 4 of JITW were camping an unbreakable POS. Filzi launched, killed one of us, and quickdocked before we had a chance to shoot at him. Also, the germans are a bunch of pansy ass statpadding whores. Minus the present crowd and a few upstanding individuals.
As his performance in WoW shows he is fekking uber.

Everyone else, among the powers PoGBS had was the ability to /home at unreg stations, and this was a patch or 2 before anyone else could do so. It was a very unfortunate occurance because the very nasty public outcry against PoGBS soured NetDev from the idea of ever using volunteer pilots to fly RPCs again. The idea was really sound, it just happened at the wrong time and in the wrong way.

Rumors will abound when there is anything unknown about an event/player/group/program/etc.

Only the PoGBS know of what really went on behind the scenes, and I for one applaud them for putting up with the collective worst the jumpgate community has ever seen or will ever see.

The former PoGBS should be greatfully thanked, as they were by netdevil, and the true reason the program was terminated (the PoGBS members could no longer withstand the assaults they were getting, threats to real life, sexual harrasment, and far worse) should be public knowledge by now, if not an enourmous black mark on jumpgate's record that all should remember and learn from.

Attempts to diminish the progress that the PoGBS program had on netdevil's understanding of it's community should be met with the same distain as one who demoralizes troops who fought in past wars.

1) Netdevil planned this before TheRapists attempted to claim unreg.

2) Most of therepist squad were warned, banned or suspended for their contribution to the real life threats, sexual harrassment, hacking attempts, etc on the PoGBS members and their website(s).

3) The public outcry was led by a rumour mill, which, after the PoGBS was disbanded, created the exact opposite public outcry (I.E. once people knew what had happened, they screamed bloody murder at therapists and appluaded the PoGBS...however now it seems history has again turned a deaf ear.)

Well, I don't know anything about old history, but I do know a little about Filzi_. I was after all the FIRST person he talked to in game at US. . I pledge my support to his innocence, cuz, hey, I feel the force! (j/k). He's a great guy and i'm glad that I got to know him at all even if he is an eveeeel pirate now.

But TheRapists actually did it first. That's where ND should have shelved their idea until TheRapists moved on to something else, or modified their idea so it would not be seen as a total rip-off. The fact that ND planned it first does not change the fact that what they did was trample a player driven RP in the worst possible way.

"History" has nothing to do with it. I was there. I never saw any public outcry in favor of PoGBS. At all.

Seriously comparing PoGBS to real life war veterans is laughable at best.
