Just a little heads up on what to expect from QH and the Decepticons, in case you are unfamiliar.

I was minding my own military business in Amananth space, and happened to be at about 20% armor for some reason. I think I had been mining in an armor storm.

Anyway, GREEN-FOX of Quantars Hope showed up in military tags. I barely took notice as the Quantar and Solrain factions are presently neutral.

Megatron of the Decepticons also was in the area in civilian tags.

I was sitting in the Aman Hook gate in the Gyre when GREEN-FOX opened fire on me for no apparent reason. Megatron had recently pass through into Aman Hook. I jumped into Aman Hook to allow time for the temporary bounty rightly assigned to GREEN-FOX to show up. He jumped through and flew out the gate to try and shoot me again.

About this time I jumped back into the Gyre, and Megatron jumped in following and firing at me. I headed to Amananth post haste to meet up with some squadmates, and with minimal effort avoided Megatron's Dragon ammo while my squadmate made short work of him.

By then, GREEN-FOX had jumped in and was running away by the time Megatron went down. Luckily, Solrain craft have plenty of flashfires.

So, watch your back boys and girls. Quantars Hope and Decepitcons attack unexpectedly and without cause, so stay on your toes.

Sounds like at least G-F actually had a cause, of sorts, namely both you and he being MT.

A stupid cause, to be sure, but still a cause.

As for Megsy? C'mon, even a vague, passing knowledge of Transformers would tell you they act like sphincterboys on general principle.

(Well, either that or he's just an idiot who croaks everytime someone Quant says "frog"...)

MT isn't HG, he would have gotten a demerit had he successfully ripped me, quant and sol are neutral atm.

We just need to get the war slider moved over 1 more notch so we can stop all the reg/unreg hopping and temp bounty crap and stop playing the "I wonder if he's got a beac/mission?" game. We already know what to expect from QH and that is hostility: we shoot each other, nothing new there since we're oposing factionalists. We just need to remove all extra BS so we can shoot each other properly.

As for Megatron...maybe we should have let him down you to see how huge his PR hit would have been for a Civ illegally killing a MT.

Mind you, I've never been keen on the whole notion that "he has X tags on, just like me, that means I must engage him". At the very least, it doesn't speak too highly for the intelligence of the person using that notion, IMO.

I agree Zero, I can say the same, We know what to expect from Solidarity: hostility, in the end you and us have been shooting each other since ya formed.

I was tempted to chat with ya some time to try and organise a joint effort slider mission (e.g. you flip ours we flip yours etc, cf while we are neutral for the better good of getting to war, push the slider)

But after a short thought, I said wth I cant be bothered "organising" with quant squads and sols etc etc.

Btw. On seeing you jump Stith yesterday, low (24s/84a I think), and knowing Octs outnumbered ya yesterday, I called on ts to "save you" FOOK IM AN IDIOT ya shot at a quant you mean barsteward :P

Since he was the third member of QH to attack me in regulated space while our factions were neutral and you were the second member, I thought it was QH policy and not something to discuss with you.

There are several players coming back who are likely to be unfamiliar, and this was my first encounter with Megatron. That is one of the main reasons for making this public. The other main reason is to give us sometehing to talk about when we're checking the forums at work and can't play

p.s. Does anyone know what the phrase "raise my hat at you" means? Is it like "bite my thumb at you"?

Raising my hat is a way of bidding you farewell or goodbye, in other words, I can't be bothered to discuss it further with you for reasons said above.

Now I guess I understand where you are coming from now you justify yourself with previous incidents, those I think should have been self-explanatory:

I have killed you twice in reg space, once demerit, immediately after a battle in Connex, I died, respawned found you running for a dock in RV, so I thought "nice being protected in Reg, but not this time... you can die", afterall you have a pos in connex and you could have docked there. Thats the problem with unreg and reg. But nps. The second, you came with Zero yesterday flipping beacons, so you were doing a hostile act. No demerit killing you.

In the end, we may be neutral, but we all wanna shoot each other as before, whatever.

Actually, I had forgotten about the beacon thing yesterday since it was a legal rip. It's easier to remember the ones not expected. The second one I was referring to was shortly after the patch when Sinthoras found me in oct space. He started shooting me, so I said "Dude, we're neutral you'll get a demerit". He finished me off anyway and then later complained about the PR hit

Oh, and I went to RV because if I tried to make the dock at Connex all the squids that were on me would have finished me off

Edit: Forgot to say, I killed once an oct and was left on 10a, with like 6 squids turning on me in range firing, I survived. Im sure I remember you on > 40a that time, so thats a poor excuse about the RV dock :P
