The Drakhai

(Yes, this is a repeat of the JGW post on the same subject. It's going mostly unnoticed there, though, at a guess because the domain name is now a misnomer. Also removing the multiple choice option from the poll so vulture83 can't gimp the results. )

Now that I have gotten several monkeys off of my back (chief of which being the loadout recommendations over on JSR), I've been giving consideration to reforming The Drakhai, most likely in the form originally seen in beta. That is, generally positively inclined towards TRI but not without reservations, multi-factional, and do whatever floats our boat, perhaps with a slight emphasis on fluxing.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was any interest (not just from the EU Drakhai that decide to rejoin the US server after their TDY assignment on the EU one), as I'm dislinclined to form yet another space-wasting 1-pilot squad.

In short, am I just burning time needlessly, or might there be some interest?

yes, reform it, i have not killed a pilot wearing the Drakhai tags in what seems like an age.

the thought of re-activating keeps sounding better and better.

But OEC is always the in-bed-with-the-sols Octs. There's still the spot for in-bed-with-the-pirates Octs.

Noh, I would say go for it. I am more optimistic than I think I have ever been about where we are headed now (and that speaks volumes I think). I am thinking about doing something along the lines of the IDC (ultra-factionalist), or maybe even OSP II, the revenge of The Tyke.

Seriously though, I think there will be more than enough oppertunities for the different levels of factionalism...at least I hope so.

What do you mean I can't vote for all options!?!

Seriously, From what I've heard, Recreating the Drakhai will encourage several players to come back, so I say YES!

I generally think more squads is good. Whenever Istvan gets to working on squads again, I know my vote is going to be for minimum and maximum membership levels (perhaps 3/15 or 3/20). Especially with the smaller player base we've had over the last couple of years, having one or two humongo squads is not good for the game.

Lots of diversity -- lots of agendas. That makes things good. And there are LOTS of opportunitites to develop specialty squads/specialty RPs right now.

If you don't do it, DeadZombie or I will

I will join as soon as account transfers are in place, and I set up payment. Should be easy enough as I've seen Direct Bank transfer is possible.

That is though, if we go back towards beta as you said. As we are more or less traders and fluxers nowdays. Specially after PWaN left Jumpgate and later on Phoenix.

Noh, OEC is nothing like its former glory days. Playing second fiddle to OEC would be a tough task unless you are alone

OEC hasn't always been an in-bed-with-the-sols squad. I remember being sector claim killed by Cardinal Purge becuase i was there and in a freighter...hardly the act of someone in bed with my faction.

But i can see your point.

Everyone has a place in Jumpgate, you could have a niche squad that might do wonders for the in game RP

MY vote was for YES
