@Bronx: QH pirated non-factionalists. They also shot me in the back as I was tuning Quant beacs. The reason was that the disliked my post calling them "Quantar's Shame" after the pirating incident. Truth hurts.

Politics are never simple. You should remember that from the old EoR/AQM days!

In retrospect, EoR may not have shot at me, with so many shooting at me I didn't really keep track. But it looked like the standard unified Quant fleet to me. If I'm incorrect here, then consider the question hypothetical rather than specific.

What I am asking is this: if I would have had a few wingmen and we had engaged the Quant fleet as we often do, are you saying that EoR would have stayed out of the fight since we are not Octs? As Solrain factionalists, we do fight Quant factionalists in consensual PvP fairly regularly. In fact, we destroyed Quant Weapons-of-Planetary-Destruction research facilities not all that long ago. Quants regularly visit Sol space tuning beacs and sector claiming, so we do the same in kind.

When the inevitable conflict between "us" Sol factionalists and "them" Quant factionalists happens, I'm just wondering how Hammer/EoR will react. Again, sorry if my post was less than clear.
This particular instance could only be the time when Xenos and Qualm met up with the other quants fighting OV in stith/connex. We never saw you Zeroz, and if we did we wouldn't have fired on you unless fired upon first.

On a separate note;
We did however see Gimli with the OV fleet. Then after they were killed or pushed back, pilot doe comes running at us from behind. Interesting, and hypocritical to boot.

I've found that the only Quants the newcoming pro-quant squads considered quants were themselves. They called themselves pro-quant but they were really just pro-oursquad type folks. That's just my personal experience, YMMV

p.s. This still isn't JGW

If EoR wishes to remain neutral with Solidarity, that's fine with me if they indeed stay friendly toward Sols and Solrain. If Hammer wants to fly combat wing with Solidarity, that's cool too (we like shooting Octs). I'm just a tad concerned about what will happen when Solidarity engages the QH/BH/QSSP/CCCC elements of a mixed Quant fleet containing EoR or when the mixed Quant fleet engages a mixed Solrain fleet containing Hammer.

Looking at it from both perspectives, are we really all going to try to igore certain elements of the other fleet and also not mind if our wingmen don't come to our aid against certain elements? It could work I guess, but certainly not without this conversation (and possibly more) taking place first. Which is why I asked the question (not because I'm overtly trying to be an ass...that part just comes naturally).

Just to stick the old nose into the pirating incident beehive...

Relevant public posts: 1, 2, 3. As it did not happen in Sol space or against a Sol loyalist, I gave little commentary in the threads about it other than to post a link recalling how much bloody-anti-piracy-murder the Quants raised when we burgled 3 DSS-keys (RP items used to "unlock" the POS laboratories) off a tow owned/operated by the Tahirs caught in stocking activity related to the WPD development issue I brought up before.

Zero,

After talking to the rest of the squad guys we all agree to disagree. lol j/k. I do agree that we need to figure this out before it gets ugly.

So far we have flown with QH to only engage Octs. I have never been in the situation yet where sol's were involved.

Lets talk more in game or via PM about this.

Also until a solution to this comes I say we remain friendly at best. I do hope you agree.

Please, no revisionist history. You shot me down under 50 shields as I was tuning and getting tapped by squiddies --
