About Fing time...Comcast Class Action...
Comcast hit with class-action lawsuit over traffic blocking
I hope Comcast burns in hell. Luckily I have Time Warner, but Comcast has affected all bittorrent traffic on their network which overall slows down the traffic for everyone since a lot of people are forced into "Leeching" |

Yeah, well like I said in that other thread, you can't sell 'unlimited internet" and then limit it.

THis is going a bad direction though. Due to our concept of ownership, it's easy for them to say, it's our network, and if you want to use it you'll pay what we say and use it the way we say. In fact, I kinda think we're damn lucky not to be paying by the KB the way we pay for minutes on cell phones.
There's this company in Oregon called Cricket wireless that supposed to let you have no limits on minutes or texts and no contract. I've yet to figure out what the catch is. I'm thinking I might have to pay full price for the phone itself or something...either that or get screwed on long distance with them. If not though, they'll get my business. The most important voting we can do as americans is how we spend our money. |

Agreed, you can't always spend your money because of choices, but in the case of Comcast, people are doing it. Some people had an apartment complex change to Comcast and a lot of people left the apartment because of it. The people are standing up, and Comcast doesn't appear to be backing down.

I use to have comcast because it was then only cable company in town when I first got it they used road runner for Internet service is was good 500+kb downloads and at the time it was really fast. Then they dumped road runner charged $5.00 more a month and my speed got caped at 125kb.
when I complained I was told they were not capping the service. I then emailed them several articles that said they were in fact capping the service. There story suddenly changed to....were capping the service to protect me from people that were abusing the service. One of the happiest day of my life and it ranks up there with the birth of my children was the day I got to call them and cancel my service because wideopenwest cable company went online!!! To top it off when comcast came to disconnect me they cut my wideopenwest line, When I called wideopenwest to tell them what happen they were not surprised as it had been happening a lot they sent me form to fill out for there records because they intended to sue them. |
