CompUSA to close all stores.

Keep an eye out for hot deals.

Sad to see an era begin to crumble but you could see it coming for some time now. I wonder who's next. Still, I like to browse so I hopw all The B&M stores don't fold.

Get your vulture wings on and start looking for those liquidation deals.

CompUSA to close all of its 103 stores after holidays - Dec. 7, 2007

Re: CompUSA to close all stores.

It really sucks if you purchased an in store warranty or bought some gift certificates to give for Christmas.

Re: CompUSA to close all stores.

CompUsa sucks. First they buy up the competition (Computer City) which raises the price of everything. Now they close their stores - Merry Christmas, you are all out of a job. I'm sure the CEO will walk away with millions when his golden parachute opens.

Reminds me of Home Depot. Used to be a great place to go and you could talk to someone who actually knew a thing or two about home improvement projects. Then they Hire Bob Nardelli, who fires all of those people so he can hire low income workers (thereby eliminating the reason most people go there in the first place). They fire him - poor guy, only got $210 million severance package. But have no fear, Nardelli now runs Chrysler (which makes most of it's money making SUVs and trucks - nice business model, Bob). I'm sure he'll get another half a billion when Chrysler goes under...

Re: CompUSA to close all stores.

Negative, just talked to my buddy who is a manager at one of the retail stores in Hawaii, they are done. They will try to sell as much inventory as they can, sell what store property they can, give the upper management as fat a bonus as they can, and cut and run.

Re: CompUSA to close all stores.

This will hurt many Aces High players that had 1 year warranty deals with CompUSA

Dang, what a heartless cold letter they sent to their employees.

CompUSA sends out layoff letters: bad service extends to employees, too - Engadget

Re: CompUSA to close all stores.

Ok, so while driving into Dallas last night I drove past the CompUSA HQ and the store that is located right across the street, closed.
