Well today just took a turn for the worse. I had over 12,000 mp3 on my hard drive PC with a back up on a external Hard drive and guess what happened. They all went bye bye becuase of my fat fingerness and trying to do two things at once. Grrrr

I started it off by inadvertently writing the same year to all my tags while I was working on my 70's flashback show. Figured I could just reload from my back up. checked both back up and main to see same count was there and then commenced to delete the main drive files. Defragged and then attempted to copy from back up back to Hard drive and I guess I did something wrong as it the external hard drive got corrupted. I have to quite using the computer for other things when I am moving files. :>

The good thing about this whole thing is that I am a knucklehead
and I know it.

Actually I have everything on CD so I am going to have to reload them again and this time I can actually do it at a higher bit rate.

You use a hard drive for backup?

When ever I get the cash, I plan to buy a DVD-RW to back up large amounts of files.

But CD-RWs are good for now.

Yes I use a one touch Maxtor drive. Same drive I use when I DJ. Figure that I can't lose information in two places. Well I guess I can.!!!

But for me to that I would have to use 15 disks to back up the Mp3. Imagine how long that takes. I like my one touch. Just copy to the drive and I can do other things except use the computer while it is backing up.
