Running this site for all these years has had it's ups and downs to say the least. I have seen a lot of good people come through our doors. I have seen a lot of tremendous posts in the past and more so recently. It's been a lot of hard work and lot of expense of which I have no regrets.

There have been busy times and slow times. Recently it's been a busy time and I will be the first to admit that this excites me. I don't run a website to get excited about it's emptiness. I as any webmaster want my creation to be a busy place full of great informative posts as well as lot's of plain old conversational posts. To be an active community.

To accomplish this goal many things are attempted along the way. Many things work, many things fail. What never fails is that no matter what you do to try and please one group, another will hate you for it. And when you try and make them happy, another will be angry. That's why I have never tried to make any single group too happy. Whatever, I do my best.

These days people seem to like to let me know that they only come here because there are no official forums. Well, why do you come here at all then? I don't go anywhere I don't like. Official forums are great but I like fans sites much better. I hope you enjoy the new forums I am sure they will be great. You really shouldn't hang out at places you don't like just because. Have some principal and live by it.

These days I get 5 - 10 anonymous contact form messages each day telling me what a piece of shit I am as well as this site. I also get many emails of the same all from places like xawd99f@hotmail.com all telling me the same thing.

I can live with all that, I know there are pricks out there that get their jollies on that sort of crap. I just delete them. But I still wonder what I did to upset them. Either way, life goes on.

But when we wake up Thanksgiving morning and my daughter hit's the answering machine and she hears some obvious drunk screaming "JSR is a piece of shit and so are you JumpDemon!" then the time has come for me to take a step back and wonder what I am doing here. Whoever you are, you have ruined our holiday. Now I have to change my phone number. I appreciate that and I am forced to wonder what to do next. I don't need this shit with all that's going on in my life right now. So instead of all the emails and contact forms, instead of trash talking me on other sites, why not just get it out right here in this thread.

So here you go Mr. Anonymous, talk shit about Jump right in the open. Don't hide behind fake IP's and emails and phone messages for innocent little girls to here. Post it right here. Come one come all.

Wow. Well, I think you're very biased in your moderation, and you take things too personally sometimes. I particularly didn't like in the slow days when you'd get down on the community for not using the site enough, or for just lurking and using the arcade.

I also took it real personally when you would mock a suggestion I made more than I would if say, Tritian, mocked it, because you were The Site Owner™, and I dunno, it kinda felt like I was living a place and the Landlord told me I was crap.

That being said, some drunk needs to get a life. That's pretty pathetic.

P.S. You should probably put some turrets on the website.

Jump, I for one totally appreciate you and what you are doing. I know I am far from in the minority. I'd say with total confidence that I'm in the huge, huge majority. When others were walking away, giving up, and trying to pollute other people's views you still persisted. Even when you openly stopped playing. Not many say it but many have a lot to thank you for.
If you are getting people phoning your home number it is utterly, utterly unacceptable. In fact abuse of any description is uncalled for, but there is a clear line. I've had a friend have to quit Jumpgate for nearly losing their job due to like minded small minded fools.
Not much from this you can take other than knowing that their cowardly jealousy is obviously behind it.
Like I say, I'm not the only one who appreciates you. I haven't spoken to anyone who doesn't believe that. No one always agrees with anyone all the time, but my respect you have. Not that I'm saying I respect my boss, but you see where I'm coming from

Im at a loss of words. JSR exists as a home for many of us and as Jump said, if you dont like it go wherever the hell you want to go, but dont insult other people for wanting to be here and less attack the site owner... who.. is providing this site not exactly for profit, but out of goodwill.

I hope that the moron that decided to give somebody a call and insult him grows some balls and grows up, and go hide somewhere, we dont want you here.

I know that contacting the authorities can be a bigger pain sometimes, but calls leave traces, and traces can be used to find you. But I guess he's so big of a moron he dont know that.

Jump I am totally digusted that someone would do such a thing. You have put a lot of time, money, and heart into this site and it shows with flying colors. For someone to obtain your home phone number and leave messages like that is totally unacceptable. I really do hope there is a way you can track down this person and find out who it is.

Only a coward would leave messages like that anonymously. As much as I would like to know who could do such a thing, I doubt they have the moral character to come clean.

Having said that, I am honored to be part of the JSR staff and hope you dont let this a$$ clown ruin what a great place you have created here for all of us!

There are certain places that are appropriate for drama, but, most of them are theaters. I'm sorry that what has been a burden of love in running this site has led to outright verbal attacks on you and your family. I hope that you do contact the authorities, even if you don't end up pressing any charges, because this person needs to have some fear put into them, or I'm sure they will start escalating their behaviors down the road (even if not necassarily to you).

To whoever made that phone call: What you did was not a 'prank'. It was verbal assault. If nothing comes of this, you better be quaking in your boots and thanking your lucky star, because if you continue behaving like this throughout your life, it's going to get you in the end.

As to the site itself, I like it, and will continue to use it as long as Jump has it available. I haven't felt like I saw any 'biased' moderation, but then again, I don't insult people or their posts. I just agree/disagree and/or expand on the topics brought up. Once in awhile, if I come up with something I think hasn't been talked about and could/should be, I'll even start a thread. If I don't have anything to say about a topic... well, then I don't say anything. On the occassion where I feel like saying something, but only have things to say that are negative feelings about a person's viewpoint, I restrain myself. This is a message board, so you have no one but yourself to blame if you post something that has to be moderated. After all, you actually have to click submit even after you type it. There's definitely been times that after I've typed something, I've decided it wasn't worth saying and just backed out.

Blah, I'm over it after a day with some family and good food. It was probably some spammer I banned. It just really freaked me out. Sorry for the drama. I'm going to have to change my phone number though. I have been getting some calls as well from people that want to put links on here for a small fee. Yeah, sure, I am going to put your drug site links on my site.
