In case anyone has noticed my absence. The storms blew out my Phone on tuesday. I'm still without internet,though the phone company denies that. Might be another week till I'm online again. I'm using someone elses system today. I'm glad to see the server is still online.

My God what a freakin nightmare. SBC is the stupidest company on the face of this planet. Maybe even the universe. I'm back, after two weaks of hell.

Well this takes the cake. They couldn't fix the problem so they set up a new account. Which is what took so long since it takes them 12 days to wipe themselves let alone service customers. Now I find out that the reason I can't respond to your emails is because they are blocking port 25 for all new customers and eventually everyone. This basically cripples me as a webmaster. I had to fill out their little "grovel before them" online form to request to "Opt Out" of port 25 blocking. So in the mean time PM me. I can't reply to your emails.

Bunch of morons. Not even a notification. Now they are buying AT&T so they can become even a bigger pain in the ass. Deregulation is the utmost worst concept this country has ever spewed from the depths of its own bile. pffffft.

No, see, deregulation would work if they wouldn't do it only in bits and pieces. They still control who can install what where, and they cater to the same big companies they are no longer regulating. Disbanding the FCC is where it's at. It would produce some pro-consumer competition since the big companies would have to actually be nice to their customers (gasp) to compete with the consumer-friendly small startups.

Regulation is what protects us from PEOPLE. People are always going to fleece where opportunity provides. There is no such thing as pro-consumer competition. That is a line they feed the masses they are going to fleece.

We never had power troubles in California before power deregulation.

I paid $6.95 a month for my phone when I paid Ma Bell.

I paid $19.95 for my sneakers before they began to be made with cheap foreign labor.

I paid $0.40 a gallon for gas when it was pumped from the ground here.

TV was free before Cable and Sat.

It's all lies lies lies. They are like wolves circling and circling until they got ya. Now we pay fees for everything.

I 100% wholeheartedly agree. On the other hand, since AT&T Wireless has gotten in the hands of Cingular I'm finding my service much more palatable.
