Re: Hockey Free Agent Signings
The logo will be revealed on their website (one of the first team websites launched online by the way) on the 24th. The Jersey will be towards the season more.
And Tex, that is from an actual sales research report that was based worldwide that I read last year. And of course I will never find it again. They rake in more from logo sales than tickets I believe. It was a cumulative figure since they were one of the first teams to come out with teal colors and many bought them just for that back in the day. |

They haven't changed the website yet. I guess this is a mock up one.

Re: Hockey Free Agent Signings
meh. While it isn't horrible, their original logo was great.
The freekin' Pens did this too. They had the skating penguin, which was really cool. They they went to that modern art crap. Fortunately, they came to their senses (after MUCH public outcry) and changed it back. |

Re: Hockey Free Agent Signings
Well. if you really look at it long enough it will become aparent that it's the same logo with a mild color change. The shark looks more fierce now. And of course the orange will sell as well. It's all about marketing to the masses.
The more I see it the more I like it. We'll see if it grows on me and if it sells. |

Re: Hockey Free Agent Signings
Here is a nice video that gives their perspective and that of the artist who is also the original artist.
