Hmm... I've never looked at the Jumpgate Evolution forums yet but from that thread I can tell that:

A) neoSpider is a programmer for Jumpgate Evolution

B) He has no sense of humor

C) He has thread-locking abilities

My question is: why is a programmer allowed to moderate a forum and what was the harm in allowing people to post "funny post" in response?

That's like getting 300 scientists to say they don't believe in evolution, but it turns out that all those scientists are mathematicians and not biologists.

You can't expect them to want their advertisement forum to be filled with crap. G pushes the limit, and like a train wreck, you just have to look sometimes.

Wasn't the suggestion forum, was the Dev Chat forum. His post would have been better placed in the General Chat area.

I can understand closing the thread, but the tone of the response was way off base. I would have moved the thread personally.
