(the threads ive seen are all a month or two old) maybe i should get a x45 or a cyborg? or any other suggestions??? also has the x52 got forcefeedback?? this sounds like a really cool feature. any other good sticks out there have them?? i want to be able to play some flight combat games on it too like cfs3 etc...and other games like bf1942. im sure you guys are sick of answering these questions but im a total novice at the flight sim game and i dont want spend £80-£90 on it and then find out its crap!!! thanks to any replies. |

I have never played MS FS 2002, but I have a X52, so I'll comment on the rest of your post.
I don't have a deadzone issue with my X52, but I've heard of others that have. From what I've read, it's not supposed to be as pronounces as some have experienced, and the only recourse is to return the stick for a replacement. The x52 does NOT have force feedback. I've used my X52 in BF:V, but not 1942. It works pretty well, although it did take some tinkering to get it to work properly. The Saitek forums were invaluable in that regard. The only other stick imo that can compare to the X52 is the MS ForceFeedback 2. But you'd have to look for one on ebay or some place like that. The X45 is a good stick, but I have not actually used one, so I'll leave those comments to Jump. |

I have loved my X45 from the day I got it. So I'm sure the X52 must be good. I haven't played any of those games but it works well in Jumpgate.

I own an X45. I have used with several different flight games, with good results. Right now I'm in the process of trying to get it to work with a game thats about 7 years old right now, and I'm having a few issues with button assignments. Other than that, worth every penny I paid for it.
That said, I also have an old MS SideWinder Pro that I have for really old DOS games that I play from time to time. If you stick with MS, Saitek, or Logitech I believe you'll be happy with what you get. The more bells and whistles that the j/s comes with the more you pay and the more time you spend (sometimes) configuring it. |
