So in case you didn't notice already, ND has bent over for CM and we now have yet another "official" website, and its no better than the "old" one, in fact its worse.

4) You have forced us to use a TERRIBLE sign up process via codemaster's extremely broken site.
5) And this is just from rumors on the "old site" since we didn't get much in the way of official word, but now we have to sign up for beta a THIRD time? 1st time, launch of original site, pre forums, 2nd time when form was updated with more information, and now a 3rd time?! Wow, it'll be a surprise if beta ever starts, you are too busy making us re-submit forms.

Jeesus NetDevil, CodeMasters, whoever the hell is running this circus.

Now I know, I have been negative, and I might have almost verged on flaming certain people in charge, but you have to see this from our eyes. Hell most people probably won't even see this, and even less so will be able to respond due to the terrible sign up process....so its all moot anyway I'm sure.

I just don't even know how to convey just how absolutely disappointed I am in ND. As if the community wasn't shattered enough already....

At least its time to leave work and I can go drink myself into a stupor.

The new site is pants, truly pants. When I first saw it I thought, "Great, it'll have loads of updates!" In fact it has none. Can't understand the logic behind it at all.

Oh, it does now include a FAQ. Which has bugger all information in it. Well, apart from the fact I now know the game will be available in French and German versions. Don't how I could've managed to finish the day without that info.

NEW FORUMS - INSTRUCTIONS - NetDevil Community

Hi Everyone,

I just went through the process of registering and reapplying for beta. Here are some useful links. Let me know if you have questions. I'll try to help.

First Step:

Go to this CodeM registration page.
http://www.codemasters.com/codem/joinup.php

Once you've registered, you will receive an activation email. Click the link in the email and activate your account. CodeM generates a random Password for your account which is included in your activation email.

With your account activated you will need to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD to whatever you want. You do this by clicking the link (top right of page) for "Update Profile". Under this page you will see the option to change your password. Once your password is changed then click the New Jumpgate Evolution forums link here: http://community.codemasters.com/for...play.php?f=930

You log in for the new Jumpgate Evolution forums will be your email address and updated password. The first time you log into the forums it will ask you to choose your "Display Name" (Chubain for me). Each time you log into the new forums you must use your email and password. I tried using "Chubain", but that didn't seem to work.

You should now be able to post.

To reapply to BETA, you go to the following link:
http://www.jumpgateevolution.com/beta_signup.php

Sign in using your email/password for CodeM. Just follow the BETA application steps and you should be all set.

NOTE: Submit your DxDiag in .XML format. I believe the default is .txt.

Right, at least a new flash movie or something, its just a reskinned version of the original site, but with even more problems/bugs.

Worst registration system ever, the e-mail wouldnt accept my gmail account, they make you click checkboxes for types of games and how you want to get them, and the captcha was a total joke and a PITA.

Ummm, we already signed up for beta, some of us twice, others with registration codes from handouts at events. We already signed up at the ND billing system and even converted our Jumpgate Classic accounts there, we also went through the whole community.netdevil cookie issue that made the forums also need to be seperate.

I'm not defending the system Net. I put together that "helpful" post since I found the system to be very confusing. It took me 10 minutes to find the registration page. I agree with everything you are saying. It sucks, but it is the future.

I remember back when Jump made it so that folks had to register to use his tools, (in the toolshed, you perverts!) and there was much hub-bub about how that was too complicated to be worth it.
