Actually their marketing is sucessfull...hardly anyone knows the 3rd party wireless firmware was hacked except those that scour the internet all day...most people just think about justin long

That said, how can you honestly say that keeping both hardware and software in house is going to not make a superior product? Think about, no thousands of different manufacturers and all their driver BS, the ability to bug test on hardware you made that you have in labs, etc etc.

Not to mention some of the best Design talent in the biz, the margin to spend more money developing products and the ability to innovate all the damn time.
