Now, on to the content cause I love mac vs pc debates.

The MBa is designed to be as light and small as possible. Its not about having an optical drive, firewire, pci cards. Its designed to fit between iPhone and MacBook, and it fits well.

Now, the "IBM" laptops are great, I have one for my car tuning computer. However, now that Lenovo owns them I would never buy one, thats just me.

This has nothing to do with the Apple vs PC debate, I was serious..

WHY would YOU want a DVD drive to watch movies if you are on battery?

The reason I ask is I found that my old laptop (won't mention which), would be able to watch another hours worth of whatever if I simply ripped the video to the HD instead of using a disc... Which an hours worth of entertainment is a lot when it comes to keeping yourself occupied on a plane...
