Memorial Day Weekend

What's everyone up to for the holiday weekend?

I'm playing with my new toy that I saved two years for. Just arrived this week after a month of wondering where my money went. It's worth the wait. Last night I made pork tenderloins. Today is Tri-tip steaks. Tommorow, Pork ribs. mmmmm good.

Grilling is one of my favorite things in the whole world. My old grill died and I have been itchin for the sizzle of tasty meats. Too bad the old butcher shop shut down in town. It's tuff to get prime meats now. Supermarket meat sucks. Costco has fair meat. Nothing beats custom cut prime though. The old butcher used to know how to cut a good rib-eye for the grill.

It was delivered in a box labled 264 lbs by a 53 foot Overnite truck. Kind of ironic since UPS is buying Overnite. I got to give the guy some lowdown on whats in store for them. We had to lower it onto my GMC truck and I just opened it there. Saved us from an oops even I'm sure. Hopefully UPS will give the guys lifts.

I'm glad I finally got it. Now I can save for my new computer so I can actually play games again.

Whooo hoo a Man's Grill. That is what I am waiting on also. I have to first get the Patio Cover up first though per the wife.

Speaking of UPS. I did a wedding last night and at the end of the night the brides family was telling the groom that he had better be good as her family is a bunch of lawyers and he came back remember I work at UPS they don't get packages without my friends. :> He was a UPS Driver out of Gardenia. I had to tell him that I was UPS also. LOL

Don't burn up all the cows in Calif playing with your new toy!

Ever tried grilling venison?

If all goes well, there's a chance I could send you out some REALLY good deer meat this hunting season!! I figure there's about 50 or so wander through my back yard a season.

I've been itching to try out my .303 LeeEnfield, test its effectiveness.

I wish I knew HOW to use one of those grills. I've never been able to grill anything but a hamburger. Everything else turns into retreads for my tires!! LOL

Grilling is a learned art form. I love venison.

With grilling you always want to use thicker cuts that are well marbled with fat.

Awwww... Jump has a BBQ...

Bah. A real man's BBQ is a slab of 2" steel over a pit of coals. Not one of these fancy things like you got

:: sigh ::

I miss my BBQ/fire pit... It sucks living in an apartment (again).

Interesting. My friend just got a Weber as well. The ribs were good this weekend.
