Ooops, hit the rewind button on the CompUSA news.
Looks like it's not going anywhere. At least not in name and at a few stores.

CompUSA didn't go out of business already? Every one I've ever walked into these days makes me feel like someone forgot to put a "Closed for Business" sign up.
Maybe this new investment group can turn it around some. |

FWIW, I spoke to a ex-coworker today and she said that there were signs up at CompUSA about closing and major sales all over the place

Re: Ooops, hit the rewind button on the CompUSA news.
I also heard of a good source that the closing process would take as long as even into february. Here where I live they started a rumor that they would be closing in december, some wednesday and that they would sell all the stuff from 20 to 75% discount, people were led to believe that it would happen in just one day.
THat day... a huge ammount of people camped the store ready for buying everything untill the doors opened and it was a 20% on some articles, for the most part the computer stuff... 5%. The store is still open, yes it has signs about the closing but that wont happen this week... or the next. The sad part is that if you buy something they stamp a seal on the back of the receipt... "no merchandise returns" (not sure how u say in english ).So, whatever u get, expect the manufacturer has somebody else honoring the equipment's warranty, you won't get the extended warranty but the equipment's you should. About selection, yes its limited, but many times is more than enough. I buy at Mwave.com: Home Page (that's when I used to have a CC) and I do compusa when I know I won't get it in time or when Im in a rush schedule. ELP ELP |
