I'm doing this where God and anyone else I've offended may read it. I apologize for insulting anyone or any name calling based on their chosen role play. I have a problem with the game philosophy expressed by several of those utilizing a legitimate, game endorsed and supported mechanism of the role play called piracy. Despite my coments to the contrary, I have nothing against the players who have adopted that role play.

I meant my disagreement with the philosophy of the RP and the game mechanism that supports it, but I let it get out of hand and include those who chose to role play the Pirate in a capable manner.

My disagreement with the game mechanics of the Piracy Role Play is based on the lack of a legitimate reason for non-pirates to go to unreg, I doubt there would have been much of a problem with piracy in regulated space if plenty of folks were traveling through or to unreg. The way it worked out, the only reason people went to unreg was 1) to mine 2) get to Aman 3) take a short cut from Sol to Quant space 4) flux or 5) hunt pirates. There was no real reason for a hauler to be there otherwise.

In Jumpgate piracy, like John Dillenger's bank robbery, you go where the money is. There was little or no reason for any player to go to unreg so anyone who wished to RP a Pirate had to do so in an arena that included many people who wanted no part of the Pirate RP.

To cut this short and not re-ignite any burning embers, I will simply say I regret any posting I made that dimenished, defamed or otherwise made anyone feel uncomfortable.

Bill, you know as by what I said in the last thread.... I respect you, and think you have great ideas, and completely valid ideas/suggestions.

IMHO this thread is unwarranted. I think an apology if this kind is a little more than anyone you've offended deserves (no offense yall)

On the topic of all thats been discussed, those threads are great, its good to be part of a group of people so in love with a game that they want it to be "just right", and lets keep those topics going!

And to everyone, not just Bill. Everyone here has a right to argue and be emotional about the ideas being thrown around. Please, just keep the name calling and cut downs out and we can all have a great time being a part of the birth of the next best game in the world.

People get mad, I get mad, you get mad, that's just life. Most of us still hanging around are tough cookies that get over it. I wouldn't worry about it. You are passionate about the game you like. Nothing wrong with that. Forums are a place to discuss and debate and have fun as well. If we all worried too much about what everyone says there would be no forums anymore. Hang in there buddy.

Oh, woooheeee , we just had an Earthquake here in California. I hope it aint a big one. Now there is something to worry about, not this forum stuff. heh, I started this post, shook, took the kids outside, came back and finished it.

QK, I have too much self-respect to run for office. IMO anyone who would want to be elected so badly they would pay more to GET elected than they can legitimately hope to make while in office, is unfit for that office. I doubt netburnrol woud stand for political office either, but I've been wrong before.

My feelings aren't hurt, nor have my opinions changed. I just get so passsionate about them sometimes that I forget other people's opinions are equally important and valid to them. I want to make my point, change others opinions and all, but not by attacking people who merely disagree with me.
