I had my final interview and was offered a position on the Geek Squad at the local Best Buy. Looks like I will be starting in a week or so, after they get my drug test results (said 5-7 days), which is cool as I have to get some school things squared away.

Being out of work sucks!

And let me get this straight. You need to pass a drug test before working? Is this typical in the US?

And yes, you usually have to pass a drug test, sometimes a physical and (rarely) a police background check.

Oh yeah, anymore, you have to pass a drug test before you can do anything outside of your house.

Congrats WileE! My grandson-in-law is a head-geek with Best Buy here in Texas. He took care of my electronic STD last week so now I can actually log on to Jumpgate with my desktop instead of just trolling on the laptop.

Anyway, drug test or not, you should do well and I'm glad for you!
