I'll tell ya, if you haven't ever experienced the PURE FKING JOY that is shaman PVP in wow... don't bother. Okay, so I'm never one to back away from 'hard mode' and pick the easy (readverpowered) way out. But frak man. At least in Jumpgate you could MAKE a ship work if you were good enough?

The esport garbage I'm attempting to play now? Class > Gear > Skill. If I could think of more things to put between gear and skill I would. Oh snap, I outplay this dude 100% but I still get to lose because buddy is a no-life 12-hours a day raider, or he win-traded his way up to a +2000 rating and got his full PVP set.

Shamans suck. I figured that out at level 12.

Now a 'Lock and Huntard. There is some easy winning.

However, I canceled my account for some similar reasons. I did not have 12 hours a day to dedicate to gear. I grew very weary of fighting against people that spend 10 of 12 hours raiding and the other 2 writing macros so they can 1 button smash their way through the game.

I've totally stopped playing except for a low-ish level character on a RP server. Weird that RP is now more fun than the rest of the game for me. There's a lot of sex-centric RP though, especially horde side in silvermoon. But some pretty neat stories too. Sure as hell beats being in a 2nd-job raiding guild (yes I did the raiding thing, my shammy is now abandoned halfway through black temple.)

It's also getting me back in the mindset to write some more Jumpgate fiction. EEA series anyone? Funny thing, I dug up my really old scratch notebook full of stories and random ideas, and some of it's still pretty damn good....

I can't! The EEA series is gone for good, unless someone saved a copy. My old HD finally died a couple years ago and I didn't have a backup. I looked everywhere, even in the archives of the old eyeofroh.net website... nothing.

I figure it's time to start from scratch anyway. It can be an ongoing thing, picking up at the beginning of Jumpgate Evolution.

Well we do have a fiction section. Well, the whole site is pretty much a bunch of fictitious crap but we do have a designated fiction forum that exists in a vain attempt to make the rest of the site feel more real. Somewhere around here.
