Should pilot levels be shown...

Is there really any good reason to have pilot levels listed? I think it would make the game much more creative if they were not. Want to attack another player that is in a same class ship, how do you know if they are veteran pilot or fairly new and just reached the level to fly that ship? It would make combat choices more exciting by not knowing the skill level of the opposing pilot.

I'd agree if level actually had anything to do with skill level, but at least in Jumpgate Classic all level meant was how many xp you had accumulated, which was about as difficult as accumulating credits

Are you talking about when targeted, or on Jossh, or completely?

In the thread about TUR, it was discussed to give us some basic info when we hover the reticle over someone, perhaps instead of level, it would be kills/deaths
