I've forced myself to learn it to wean myself from dependency on $700 programs. Not working for this since I'm using Fireworks right now. Meanwhile, I just replaced the test image because I forgot to number it. Scroll up and take a look at its replacement.

buttons look nicer. They each have a slightly different apearance. Is that to show different aproaches? If so, I like the edit one the best.

hrm that's weird. Didn't even notice that. Oh well, must've forgotten to move a change to the rest of the buttons or something. Made the rest of them look like Edit. Going for the night now, will work on making more buttons tomorrow. Will try to get a good set of buttons first, then start working on a better border skin based on that style.

Since you asked, here's why: The style of the logo is yellow text on a black triangle with a cyanish border. On top of the blue background that will be used for the content cell, the yellow looks hideous. So I put dark blue behind it. I then use the rounded rectangle button motif as a border for the dark blue region. I couldn't find a way to make the yellow text work without putting something dark behind it. A button border seemed the most logical way to hide it.
