Some of my own model work
I've uploaded some pics into the gallery of a few stations that I built for the game X-Wing Alliance, if any of you remember it (Elpirata), with some background info of what I used to be involved in. It's been years, and the graphics of today's games blow them away, but I'm still proud of what I did with the limited tools we had back then. Those were good times.
Those models were made just before I joined Jumpgate beta and never looked back. |

Heh, where is Jump when you need him?
 I used to be pretty good at imbedding into web pages, coding and stuff, but that was 7 to 8 years ago...haven't done any of it in a long time...and I'm sure there have been plenty of improvements since then. |

Cool design on the stations. What modeling program did you use to create them?
I made some ships and stations for a couple of different space games I was working on that never really got off the ground. I'd upload pics but they are on my other drive. I'll try to find them and post them if I can |

I used Rhinoceros 1.0 to make the .dxf files...and that was a pain.

Ahh, For a time I was using a beta version of Rhino3D, but not too extensively. It seemed like a really good editor for being free. At least, It was free in it's beta.
Well, I lost the images but I had the models, so I made some screencaps. None are complete, infact most are nowhere near complete. Also, some are for different games then others, so they really don't have a uniform look... but here they are anyway. =) Space/Atmospheric Fighter Small Shuttle Tau Fighter Tau Fighter Render Alpha Station Epsilon Station Roid City In retrospect, I wish I saved them in a smaller res so I could have thumbnails, but I was dumb. =( |

Those are nice designs, Trit. In XWAlliance we had to be careful though. Too many faces would kill the game and cause all sorts of graphic errors.
