The thing i don't like about cell phones is that if you don't answer it, people get all whiny with you. The old home phone could be ignored.. you could have been walking the dog, taking a shower, watching tv, whatever. now days, if you have a cell, there is a social stigma if you don't answer it automatically like a drooling Pavlovian dog.

Course, anybody who drops that kind of money on a cell phone clearly has more money than brains, so it's probably best that they are so easily distracted by shiny lights.

I just can't afford it raising three kids. And now I am on Comp. Maybe when I can have DSL without a land line, but I see no reason to pay twice for a phone.

I hate it that people think they can't ignore the ringer on their cell. I just push the button to make it shut up, apologize to everyone that I didn't have it on vibrate, and if they leave a voice mail it might be important enough to call them back. If not, I'll return their call when I damn well feel like it.
