I should point out (if anyone cares) that this won't be released for awhile yet. I want to completely re-write the back-end PHP code. I am also writing my own javascript for this which is a first for me. Much research to do so I can keep the noobness to a minimum. I had planed to spend much of today (it's 105 outside) working on it. However the neighbor just came over and invited us out to the delta on their houseboat, so the choice was easy. Nothing getting done today.

![]() No problem with the contest going on for the next two weeks and getting back from my vacation at Lake TAhoe I am behind on everything. I will wait until the product comes out. I have never been disappointed yet. |

I should warn you guys that if you don't have an up to date modern browser you'r probably not going to like this application. It's using cutting edge technology that will enable it to work more like a desktop application instead of a web application. It's the next wave in web applications so you might as well get used to it. Google is doing it, Gmail does it, now ole Jump does it. Well, trying to anyway.
Just start typing something into the search box on Google Suggests and you should get a pretty good idea if your browser is up to par or not. I can tell you that Firefox will have no problems. (of course) IE should have no problem unless you have use listed as a dangerous site and have activeX turned off. (when will they give up on that hated tech?) Opera will work but not smoothly. The experience will not flow as well. Hopefully new updates will fix this. Anyway, if it doesn't work for you then I'm afraid your out of luck. I'm one who believes in breaking the web to fix it. Improvements and change come from necessity and not from the status quo. Web applications using AJAX are the future many types of applications. Even the new Vbulletin is using AJAX to offer inline editing and instant editor changes. So get Firefox if you want to stay ahead of the game. What's my point? It's not all finished yet but most of it is using AJAX and I need some more tester with varying browsers to test it. ![]() Jump |
