Pilots last logged on?

I was just wondering if there was some way to get the pilots last login time on their pilot stats page.

It was something ice to have for my guild in WoW and might have its application here. (for instance seeing whether that pilot I mentored is putting the 5mil I gave him to good use)

IIRC a few years ago this got a work out on the JOSSH forums, in the end, it was deemed that it might be too exploitable or some such. Anyway, it is possible but very unlikely that anyone will get access to that data.

Wish I had read here before posting on the Jumpgate Evolution forum. I KNEW it was a good idea, just didn't realize someone else had already suggested it.

Isorg used to do some fancy tracking of pilot logons, net worth changes and such. People went to great pains to disguise second accounts from the all-seeing eye, LOL.

As Jump points out, it's not a published stat, so it tough. I used to track activity for my own squad by tracking hours online -- back in the day when BH was rather HUGE and I would cull the squad list for extended inactivity.

But "Time" would not be possible. The closest you could do would be to gather huge amounts of pilot data very regularly and flag a pilot record wenever there was a change in the online hours.

The only way to do it (I did it on a web based service) was to parse the pilots list and hit the jossh pages for each pilot to retrieve the stat. That generated looooooads of traffic and probably didn't help jossh's performance.

The 'evolution' of that feature was really pilot watching - so you'd enter who you were interested in and then check the pilot list periodically to see if they were online - you'd then store the date/time and work it out that way.

It was a bit of a pest. The current incarnation of the web tracker does support this I think in the squad management stuff, you can order squad members by last log on to kill off inactive pilots. I think.... it's been a while.

You're a squad leader why dont you try it and let us know ?.

EU Jossh and squad page including squad stats always worked and was upto date, right up until the end.

Far as I remember (unless was fixed without us knowing about it) you can't boot people out. The only way was to reform the squad and only allow those you want in. Of course, RL gets in the way and eventually your active pilots may become inactive again. Regular squad reforms are the only way to get rid of those inactive folks, but you also lose their POS's if u do
