POS Lister II Open Beta
My new web application POS Lister II is now in open beta. So give it a whirl.
I must warn you, this will not work in older browser and that will not change. Times are changing for the better so update your browser and keep the web advancing. It's a Rich Text application utilizing what is now being called by many, AJAX. There are no frames or iframes, yet there are also no page refreshes. Everything happens in the background and the page is updated by your browser without reloading. Basically, it operates much like a desktop application. Hopefully, this results in a much richer user experience when using web application. This is my first shot at it so I'm sure there are many holes and bugs. So please feel free to point them out to me. And if you are wiser and more knowledgable in these things than me, tips are always welcome. So load it up and give it a ride. You can click the "View Legend" link if you need any explaining. In case your wondering what the purpose of this application is. The original motivation behind it was to replace this thing here. Anyway, here it is. Enjoy Jump |

It should function good in Opera now. The only thing is, with Opera, there will be no message written to screen to let you know that the data is being fetch. Which is no big deal when the internet is having a happy day. But might leave a user clueless when there is some congestion and the user is wondering why nothing happened yet. Hopefully, the folks at Opera will get their act together soon.

I should point out to my fellow Firefox users why your wheel mouse doesn't scroll the data areas when they have a scroll bar. They are divs not frames and FF doesn't support mouseover on scroll set to auto for divs yet. That is fixed in nightly builds and will be available with the next major release, 1.5. Which is due in september. Minor annoyance for a short time. You'll have to actually use the scroll bar.
