Ship Loadout Tester
Ever think about making a Ship loadout tester?
This would be where you can put in different items and have it do the power calc for you like it does in game. Maybe also give some other stats (if you know them) like projected, thrust, dammage potential, maybe a dammage curve vs power. Just some differnt ways to look at the set up. Also you could add the arties in to see how those would effect your set up. I know it would be a lot of work but it would be a great tool for looking at setups without going into the game. Just a thought for ya to toss around. And yes I know you have a loadout tool but that is kinda limited to what loadouts you have listed with each ship already. |

![]() First off don't assume all the ways to skin a cat have been figured out. I like to look at stuff on paper before I put it into play even in the sim so I would like to be able to see how the different parts interact. Next if a groundwork is laid now, when Jumpgate Evolution comes around you would only have to change the items because surely things will not be the same and everyone will be back to testing again. So the suggestion was for a tool that would be of some use now, but might be of great use later when Jumpgate Evolution gets rolling. |

Re: Ship Loadout Tester
There is already such a tool I believe. I think it's called "shipper widget" though I am not certain it's supported or up to date. I myself will not be doing anymore tools for Jumpgate TRI. I may do some for Jumpgate Evolution if and when I find out what data will be available and how it will be made available.

Re: Ship Loadout Tester
What ever happened to Jumpgate Ship Creator? IIRC, they even added a little cute 3d model of the ship you were outfitting. They had all the arti's you could ever want, more statistics than even *I* needed (T/M, DPS, gunfire w/cap chart, acceleration curves w/normal thrust/AB/FF, damn that was a good app).
I could see how much (or little) a CS3 helped an ammo phoon out, or if buying those PCE5's for my Monsoon was really worth it. |

Re: Ship Loadout Tester
Jumpgate shipcreator should still be around somewhere, search on google or PM me with email adress if you need it, it is more or less up to date except for some minor equipment changes, but you can change them manually if you want. (I got version 1.7.6, but there might be newer ones)
