Solrain Core (TRI-FP) - Sentient conflux C17-S
"Lamprey" moved into Solrain space last night, destroying the
Sabre facility at Wake, and the RB-1 and RB2 facilities at Solrain Core. The
raid was stopped when the attack moved to Quantar core.
"This attack should never of happened," stated a clearly irate Phelix Cormonra,
governor of Solrain Core. "Even after more than a two hour warning, Solrain
space remained untuned, and open to attack. To make matters worse, TRI pilots
allowed their factional politics to stand in the way of lending assistance, once
the attack was underway. One Quantar pilot was even heard to offer Solrain space
to the conflux, in return for leaving Quantar space alone!"

Indeed, Brotherhood pilot Gogo was heard to say: "I suggest we offer the conflux ALL of Sol space in
return for a promise that they will stay away from Quan space".

Governor Cormonra went on to say, "Our best
defense against these attacks is to do what we can to prevent them happening in
the first place. The Octavian theories regarding command and control hives
appear, thus far, to be valid. As soon as a hive is identified, TRI pilots must
work together to prevent the attack, and when that is not possible, we must all
work together to minimize, or eliminate the damage inflicted by the conflux.
When we allow ourselves to be divided by petty factional squabbles and
bickering, we have already lost - our only hope of positive outcomes from these
raids is to provide a united face to the enemy."

Following the attack, and in the spirit of co-operation, the STCC announced a
new initiative to make available nuclear ordinance.

The STCC is now soliciting bids to provide stockpiles of one thousand nuclear
weapons at each depot station, each neutral station (except GBS), and Amananth..
