Post [TRI News] Octavian BCUs Destroyed

107.1.18.21:7.36

By Rafel Solamis
TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) - TRINN has received the following release
from QH pilot medic639:
"In response to the repeated incursions in to Quantar space:

"On 107.01.16 at approx. 1400 Ekoos, members of multiple Quantar squads and
factionalists assisted in the destruction of over 4000 Octavian BCU's from
around the galaxy. At this time (1530 Ekoos), there are no Octavian BCU's left
within the galaxy on public and TRI stations.

"Members of QSSP and QH along with other Quantar factionalists took part in
the procurement and destruction of the Octavian BCU's.

"At the end of the mission, all members involved provided a fireworks
display by destroying the BCU's against the hull of Brotherhoods POS "BHQ
Imports" in Quantar-Station Sector."

There has been no official comment on this act.

So quants took the BCU's when no1 was about and then splashed their ships against a POS?
How very daring.
Lots in storage, and easy to replace.
They'll be gloating about making an Ulster Fry next.

Regards
Totally unimpressed Al

<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) -->ELPIRATA<!-- google_ad_section_end --> is a Octavius pilot
They say there were 4 OCT MT's online, but I heard nothing about a warning about if something was going to happen or not.

I guess its time for us to take actions, as they have paved the way and they started, and we shall end it

No mention, of course, of how many of those 4 were active, instead of docked and away from their ships (OOC: AFK) at the time...

There were 1 firm, and 3 ov on actually, all active, in flight (not sim), Algore, you came on just as we were returning to our station, making it 5. As said on JOSSH, we even tuned all beacons in our travels, and travelled as a convoy.

OOC
This wasn't meant as something to seriously hinder any particular thing. I wish some of these people would understand that. It could have been FF's, shields, or something like that. It would have been lame to do something like that. It was meant more of a RP thing than anything. We know that there are stores of them on pos's. What's the sense of being at war if things such as this can't happen?

(by the way, I'm American... whats an ulster fry? lol)

It was lame to splash, period.

Ulster Fry is kinda like a full english breakfast, only superior in all aspects.

edit:

Just read the Jossh forums and I'm not in agreement that it takes any enjoyment out of pvp or anything like that. Infact I think it quite clearly in my view spices things up.
If no1 was about it was hardly the quants fault. They undertook a covert operation and successfully carried it out. It's just the splashing thing I have a prob with.
It clearly isn't like then Inj factory incident. The idea that GM involement would have been needed is just silly in this respect.

And that is the reaction it was meant to have. The mundane same ole same ole fighting in the same 3 sectors until one side has the upper hand is getting old, for me I guess... I can't speak for others. This game can be so much more than what it is, but it takes player involvement to do that.

By the way... this wasn't my idea persay, I just seem to be the lone spokesperson for this...

I agree the splashing was lame. That's actually a fair number of mined commodities that now have to be re-mined. It would have been better form to say...put them on a public POS with an outrageous price tag, or even talking with a GM about recycling them back into commodities via RP somehow.
