Post [TRI News] Pilots Clear Amananth Trade Lanes

By Alexa A'vros
Amananth (TRI-FP) - The following press release has been submitted by pilot RaiderOne:
After the announcements earlier this week made by Queliar Neamru, Ferrix Charyb, and Tesios Muca concerning the SoLiCiDal blockade of Amananth space, DragonEye Commanding Officer Osprey threw down the gauntlet to both SoLiCiDal and the STCC. Fleet Admiral Osprey stated in no uncertain terms that DragonEye will protect Solrain space, but it will not play lackey to the STCC sanctioned actions which are converse to the safety and well being of not just Solrain but to all of TRI. Admiral Osprey further made it clear that while DragonEye and SoLiCiDal have a long history of friendship, DragonEye would actively oppose such actions as that in Amananth space.

Shortly following this announcement, a full combat wing from DragonEye was seen in transit from the Greater Locks to Amananth Station Sector, where it engaged and dispatched Solicidal pilots engaged in blockading Amananth space in a vicious battle. This was followed by DragonEye dispatching a conflux swarm in Amananth.
Upon dispatching the swarm, pilots from New Dawn, Brotherhood, and other units joined DragonEye at Amananth, bringing in combat supplies.
Upon the joining of forces and the announcement that Amananth had been opened to all pilots once more, SoLiCiDal returned in force in an attempt to resume the blockade, only to be met repeatedly by the determination of the combined fleet defending the trade lanes. After a sustained attempt by SoLiCiDal , which lasted over an hour, the blockade was broken and brought to an end. SoLiCiDal 's capitulation was met with joy by the pilots of TRI and well wishes between both opposing forces.

Members of several units were heard to have cheered DragonEye's action to bring an end to the blockade. When asked why DragonEye had waited so long to get involved in the issue, an unnamed source responded:

"DragonEye has a long history with SoLiCiDal. They have been our friends and allies for many years now. It is a very hard thing to know that you are flying into a battle where you must point your guns at your own friends. Coming to such a decision is very hard to do, and takes time. But tonight, the time had come and we did what had to be done. Doesn't mean we had to like it."
