Quantar Core (TRI-FP) - Following up on their previous ultimatum to the STCC, the Fa'hil Memta has issued another statement, regarding the research stations.

"As we have stated previously - unlike the Octavian Empire and OPL, the
Quantar Government is not in the habit of developing weapons with the intent of
wiping out the entire planetary populations of our neighbors," stated
Tahir Queliar Neamru. "The research stations raided
by Solidarity and their Octavian mongrels, were in place for the sole purpose of
researching improved ordinance for the ongoing struggle against the Conflux
menace. This project was, until recently, highly secret, partly as a precaution
against the theft of the technology, which, like any advanced research, can be
misused in the wrong hands, and partly because it is a Quantar investment, and
we are not ready, nor obliged, to share it at this point. This decision has been
ratified by the recent misguided actions begotten of the paranoia caused
by OPL's continued bio-weapons research.

"Unfortunately, the STCC's selfish decision to initiate the theft of Quantar
property and data has set the program back at least a year. However, we shall
rebuild the research, and the program shall continue, with, of course, tightened
security.

"Quantar maintains its sovereign right to unilaterally research and develop
highly effective weaponry for use against the Conflux. We also maintain our
sovereign right to unilaterally retaliate against those who initiate unwarranted
strikes against our facilities."

So far, the STCC has been quiet, and has not issued any statements since the
incident occurred.
