HYPERIAL (TRI-FP) - Following a detailed investigation by TRINN, there is now credible evidence that the Hyperion government is using the limited supply of antiviral drugs as a mechanism to promote what can only be termed as 'religious cleansing'.
Following the release of the Letifer virus on Hypsos, the Hyperion government has limited news media access, citing safety concerns. Our investigation shows that while Samsun has been able to develop an intermediate drug to mitigate the effects of the Hypsos outbreak, its delivery to the planet citizens has been heavily controlled by the Hyperion government.
To put it simply, in order to receive any antiviral medications, citizens must formally renounce any and all beliefs in the Quantar based system of religion, including Hamalzah. Citizens refusing to renounce Hamalzah are turned away.
While on Perasca, the widespread distribution of the drugs is believed to have prevented millions of deaths, the situation on Hypsos is much more grim, with large areas of land being allocated as makeshift bonfires, as the bodies of those infected, and refusing to renounce religion are being burned. There are unsubstantiated reports of overzealous local commanders not waiting until the victim is dead before being thrown onto a fire.
With access to Hypsos extremely limited, making eternal verification difficult, the government is denying any of this, and claims that they are simply allocating the limited supply of drugs to those most in need. However, TRINN has corroborated this story through multiple sources.
