Post [TRI News] Sentient Hacks Subspace Transceiver

By dahlab (edited Alexa A'vros)
Wake Station (TRI-FP) - Today at approximately 12:00 Aman time, sentients began an attack on TRI space. First spotted in Amananth space, a lone C17-S Stingray began flying through regulated space. Seen again in Octavian shore by pilot's dahalb and Ambrosius, it was protecting a lone C-0S jelly. dahalb watched this scene for approximately 10 minutes, asking the flux what they were doing. The stingray proceeded to fire two warning shots into dahalb shields then circled him for a further minute before flying off again. When pilot docholiday arrived to engage the stingray things got interesting. dahalb, in a heavily loaded freighter, moved out of the gate in order to assist on firing on the C17-S. Unfortunately docholiday was unable to bring the C17-S close enough to dahalb for him to be of assistance. After docholiday was dispatched, DragonEye pilots RaiderOne and xjgwidow entered the sector. Pilot dahalb continued to fire upon the C17-S as the others tried to get close enough to the jelly to see what it was it was doing. Every time they got close, the C17-S disengaged from dahalb and attacked them instead. It now appears the Jelly was, in fact, hacking the KTRI network. Dr-McManus dispatched the C-0S, but not before its apparent success with messages appearing on the KTRI network claiming that the "war was coming" and that "we would all die". Many pilots scoffed at these remarks saying that the conflux would in fact be the ones to die not us. FS
Panther downed the C17-S after it was armored by dahalb.

The next wave of attacks started shortly after, with its objective yet to be deciphered. Two C-13S Nautiloids were detected in Solrain space, running quickly to Quantar space. Enroute, one C-13S cloaked and was not seen again until they reached Rounds of Quantos. There, one C-13S engaged pilot RaiderOne while the other took a different direction. Pilot Baius downed the sentient in The Gurge sector outside Evening's End. The second sentient was then spotted near Amananth with pilot dahalb downing it in Last Parsec. Further to this, two more C-13S's were seen, the first in Quantar space again with pilot xjgwidow downing it in Ring View, the second in Solrain space again, where it was chased to The Main Gate and downed by Dr-McManus. The most disturbing report from the fighting was that these sentients had not weapons, but insights equipped.

It is unclear what the purpose of their mission was but this does not bode well for TRI. Conflux Sentients with insights means that they must want something from us. In this reporters view, some serious research must now be done on the conflux menace. They appear to be adapting to our technologies but we are not adapting to theirs. We no longer receive warning when sentient conflux invades our space, even when beacons are tuned. This has to be rectified with the utmost urgency. Failure to do so could cost TRI dearly. This is Doug "dahalb" Hardy signing off from wake station.
