Wake Station (TRI-FP) - Citing continuing undersupply of missiles for military forces, the STCC has contracted TRI Heavy Industries to construct a new Tooling Center with missile recycling capabilities orbiting Hellion. This represents the first obvious economic step taken by the STCC to gain some advantage in the continuing low-level conflict with Octavius.
"Good missiles are impossible to come by unless a pilot has access to a private stockpile," indicated Tache Uzelin, serving as a defense consultant for STCC. "Public stocks have run out, and this hands the tactical situation to well-organized, well-supplied forces such as OV. It's past time action like this was taken, and I'm pleased the Council has stepped up."
Additional inquiries to Arbin Mallow at the STCC and several munitions factory managers have confirmed that production of Tens & Piney's Spear rocket has been halted at all Solrain stations due to overstocks. One manager, who requested that we not identify him, offered the following,"The Spear is useless, just look. What got used in the fights out there? Not Spears. T & P should retire the [censored] thing. With this recycling thing going, that's probably where we're going to get the explosives for some decent munitions. Junk Spears."
Orbital construction of the new facility is underway in Wake Sector.
