Post [TRI News] Tens & Piney Sanctioned By TRI

106.2.13.7:11.44

By Rafel Solamis
Solrain Core (TRI-FP) - The TRI Executive Council has
released their findings into the actions of Tens & Piney which ultimately
resulted in the restoration of Chime production facilities within Solrain space
late last year.
"As stated previously," commented Mei
Mefyeyji for the Executive Council, "the Council is pleased to see
the Chime radar back in production. The investigation focused not on the end
goal, per se, but rather the method used to obtain that end goal, and whether it
contravened the existing license agreements between TRI and Tens & Piney.

"Our investigation has concluded that by using direct contract labor,
and bypassing TRI approvals, Tens & Piney did indeed violate their
manufacturing license. However, the Council does not believe that it is in the
best interests of the pilot community to revoke Tens & Piney's manufacturing
license at this time, and has thus decided to pursue alternative sanctions.

"During the course of the investigation, it became clear that Tens &
Piney developed a faster manufacturing process using pre-collapse components to
augment existing facilities. This technology will be made available to TRIR-MSD
for further study, and potential distribution to other corporations, should it
indeed turn out to be as safe and reliable as claimed. In return for sharing
this information, Tens & Piney will be allowed to maintain current
production levels.

"Finally, while perhaps showing poor judgment in accepting the contract,
the Council finds no culpability associated with squad OMC for their part. It is
the Council's firm belief that OMC were motivated by a desire to restore
production of a key piece of equipment, and were unaware of the contractual
obligations ignored by Tens & Piney."

Tens & Piney declined to provide comment.
