TRI-HQ (TRI-FP) - Despite only silence from the TRI Executive Council, TRINN has learned details of the Council's plan for economic recovery, following the near meltdown of production in recent weeks.
The multi stage plan includes the following:
- Release of strategic stocks to provide short term relief as needed.
- Retooling of lesser used orbital production facilities.
- Construction of new orbital facilities for key commodities.
- Upgrading station manufacturing facilities for key equipment.
- Providing additional ongoing incentives to those generating critical raw materials.
The Council has come under much criticism from factional governments and pilots alike for their handling of this crisis.
"The Executive Council has become impotent," remarked J'on Tin. "They allow hard working pilots to suffer, to fly on sub-optimal equipment, to spend unnecessary time searching out equipment - the Council would rather waste time debating how to deal with issues, rather than actually do anything. Perhaps it is time for a new Council to take control of the situation."
"The Fa'hil Memta continues to support the Executive Council, and their decisions," stated Tahir Queliar Neamru. "We are, however, disappointed in their decision to mandate large amounts of ore delivery before Venurian may activate their completed manufacturing facilities. While we appreciate the necessity of raw material delivery, delaying the production of equipment which would assist in mining seems, on the surface, shortsighted."
No one was available to comment on behalf of the STCC.
