Cheap Joystick for Jumpgate?
I'd like to try out Jumpgate, but don't want to spring for a pricey joystick. I'd like one with just the bare minimum, maybe a POV hat or two, but not much else. And a decently stable/reliable response.
Any suggestions for good, cheap joysticks? |

Re: Cheap Joystick for Jumpgate?
X45 is pretty.... I'd love to be able to get a seperate throttle...but it's 'spensive at 32 pounds after tax...
There's a Saitek Evo for 6 pounds including shipping...that's a pretty good deal. If I really like Jumpgate, I guess I'll just upgrade from that. |

Re: Cheap Joystick for Jumpgate?
Thats an interesting looking stick, I would have to "feel it" before deciding to plunk down 130 bucks though. And it would have to be extremely sturdy feeling as I have a tendency to break sticks when I get into a really intense battle or die in certain ways. I broke the throttle level 3 times on my saitek pro 3d.
how about the pro version X52 Pro Flight System I like how the game can interact with the stick, I wonder if ND will use the SDK to build in jumpgate stuff into the stick.... If they were to do that I would probably go for the pro version since once your over the $100 mark you might as well... |

Re: Cheap Joystick for Jumpgate?
I looked around the saitek site, and I couldn't see the refurb section. Could you linky linky to it?
Back in the day, I had one of the early versions of what's now the X52 (I think it was called that then too, but I'm not sure). My only complaint about it back then was that the safety cover for the top switch wouldn't stay in position. |
