Interact SV-244 Cyclone 3D

I have this joystick. And I have a question....When I try to calibrate this joystick it's impossible...the calibration crosshair moves repeatly and I can't stop him...the best result is under Windows XP (but even under XP moves the calibration crosshair repeatly, but not so fast like under Win95 or 98. On this systems it's impossible to calibrate this joystick correctly... Can anybody help me? I can't make this...
And big sorry for my VERY BAD English...but English isn't my native language...

Re: Interact SV-244 Cyclone 3D

I'm not sure if this will help, but I'm assuming that this is a digital joystick. In other words, it doesn't follow the old analog specification of 3 axis and 2 buttons. It would be helpful to know how your connecting this joystick, as it seems to have what appear to be old 5 pin AT keyboard and PS/2 connectors (or it could be how you would connect the stick to an old Mac). It's possible that the stick needs power from your keyboard/mouse port, or my earlier theory may be correct. Anyhow, I'd suggest trying to get a sound card or game card from the same era the stick was made from (perhaps a soundblaster 16, AWE 32, or Gravis Ultrasound) that, and locate the proper drivers for the stick (unfortunately InterAct seems to have closed it's business, and finding anything for their products is a seemingly futile effort).

Anyway, the short of it is, this is a very old stick, that, unfortunatley for you, still has life left in it. If nobody else can help you, I'd suggest looking for other forums that play games that require sticks, especially those from the same era your stick was made(try the Wing Commander guys at Wing Commander CIC, or perhaps the DOSbox community at VOGONS :: Index. you might just bump into someone that has the same stick and would be willing to send the drivers to you.
