Well. I wouldn't call the X45 Junk. I've always been happy with it.

Yeah but it's always felt too plasticy to me and buying it now I'd rather pay the extra and get the newer one which apparently doesn't suffer from the same issues. Also apparently bestbuy.com doesn't list the X52 either which means they don't carry it which is annoying. I didn't feel like having to deal with ordering one.

Amazon.com has it for $105. Tack on overnight shipping and it'll be around $130, which is the retail price you would pay at Best Buy. So you'd save on tax, but have to wait an extra day.

X-52 is a great stick. I'm using one right now. It feels pretty solid (and since I used my last Saitek stick for many years, I assume this one will last a while too). The LCD is neat but kinda gimmicky, really.

Well in the process of going to Best Buy I did buy an Xbox Live starter kit and I've discovered how fun Crimson Skies is (I'm such a traitor). That might have been a mistake because now I've got a bunch of games to try out online. So I'm gonna milk that for a week or so and then I'll order my joystick. I can't get in the habit of buying $100+ worth of junk every other day.
