Question As with many of these other posts.. Lookin for a good STICK

Oio,

So here's the score. I've been researching a lot. Well, I've looked at probably 15 different joysticks in depth, and so far this is what I'm getting as my three main contenders.

Saitek X-52 - The hot shtuff. Looks like a Transformer and performs wonderfully. Though I've seen some people comment at a somewhat flimsy design, it'll slake most people's lust for a good joystick. HOTAS, but no FFB. Though it seems to be a wonderful choice, I tend to enjoy "hardcore" PC devices. (I own an ABS M1 keyboard, and the Gigabyte GMM8000 mouse. Heavy and thick )

Thrustmaster T.16000M - Pretty jazzy! Great response and sturdy construction at a decent price (~40 USD) make it a great competitor. No FFB. Super smooth rotation. Standard Joystick

Saitek Cyborg Evo Force - Another Transformer of a joystick that's laden with buttons and fun. The force-feedback is strong enough to make a difference in some games, although stated to not be as strong as the Microsoft Force Feedback 2. Ahhh!

I was just wondering as to what your preferences based upon my choice would be gentle(wo)men? I don't have a max price (well, resonable) so the X52's price isn't an issue. Although, who doesn't like saving money?

As I stated briefly above, I really like sturdy, big, heavily built things, like how Arnold used to be.

VHAT DO AYE DO?! I've looked at some of your past experiences in the site here, and noticed that the majority like the X-52. But have any of you had past experience with other joysticks that's worth mentioning?

Are CH sticks even worth da moo-la?

Spanks a bunch!!

Re: As with many of these other posts.. Lookin for a good STICK

Ah! One thing I've discovered.

Someone Joy Tested the T.16000M against the X-52, and this is what was discovered:

This is the T.16000M's precision.

This is the X-52's precision:

The more circular the motion, the better. I guess that's one more thing to consider.

*sigh*

I have the Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS very nice stick. Seems very precise, lots of buttons, and 4 analog axes. Best of all it's real cheap.

I miss my Cyborg Evo Gold 3d. I use a ST290 Pro now but would like to upgrade to something a little more advanced.

Re: As with many of these other posts.. Lookin for a good STICK

I have the T-16000 as a backup for my FF2. The T-16000 is very smooth and precise, if a bit stiff. And the price is GREAT. Since it's new to me, durability is still up in the air. But at this point I'd highly recommend it.

Re: As with many of these other posts.. Lookin for a good STICK

Yeah I figured as much!

I don't mind stuff, I like putting a little "oomph" into my gaming.

I was thinking about trying to find a FFB2, but at the prices I'm finding them at now, I'd rather just spend the extra $$$ and get a Cougar.

I think for now I'll go with the Thrustmaster since it is my first joystick since 199X. Thanks a bunch guys!

I just downloaded Jumpgate Classic too and signed up, so I might see you around on there .
