New Stick Time
Ok, here's the deal.....
My X45, finnally bit the dust and has hopefuuly moved on to a less agressive place. I'm looking at getting a X52......maybe. I want to know why I should get one, or why I shouldn't. I gotta to admit, that X45 was sweet, it lasted me 5+ years of hard abuse(8k hrs of Jumpgate alone) Anyway, talk to me people. Tell what you're using and if you like it or not. Money isn't an issue, as long as it's under $250, and most are. Thanks, jelo |

FF2 is still the Jumpgate stick of choice. You can still get them unopened and in like-new condition on ebay for $100 or less. Of course, you might even be able to find an X45 there too if you look (I assume they're not sold retail anymore).
I played Jumpgate on a new Logitech Extreme 3D PRO stick at a friend's house, and frankly it sucked. |

Spork: Well, I just checked the Saitek site and they dont sell neither the x45 new or reconditioned, but they do have the new Pro X52 and the normal x52, and that normal x52 in reconditioned by half price... $69.95. I remember when they had also the x45 reconditioned at $40.00, which I think is good enough.
The x45 I have was sent to me by a Jumpgate pilot who after buying it... decided that he was better off with a mouse, and he was very good with the mouse. It had some parts on which the paint was missing and the normal scratches and everything, but as jelo pointed out, it lasts almost forever (I got it a bit after EP2 and still works - with some issues). I was planning on buying another x45, but I guess if they dont appear again on the website... a x52 reconditioned will do. ELP |
