Re: Razer Copperhead

I think that's the size I have. The space isn't tiny it's just not big. I need a new keyboard now. I like the gaming keyboard they have. Especially the zone lighting. But I doubt I could do everyday stuff on it. I guess you can have two keyboards nowadays.

Right now I play a lot of Counterstrike, and I keep my mouse sensitivity really low and use a large area on my desk so I can stay uber accurate.
NBR, I remember reading somewhere that your mouse is the only thing you can buy to improve your skill in FPSs like CS. Since you're one of the low sensitivity players, you would buy a higher DPI mouse, then turn down your sensitivity even lower to keep your "turn-rates" the same.

Also, being able to change your dpi on the fly is awesome for sniping. You can set the DPI toggle button to be the same as the "look down scope" button so that as soon as you scope, the sensitivity goes way up and your mouse movements become even more accurate (and slower).

I've always been aware of the relationship between aiming and sensitivity settings, ie you turn sensitivity down and your aim improves, but then you have to move your mouse further to turn your guy around. How do you live with having to move your mouse really far to turn around in CS?

Simple, have enough desktop room. I have about 3ftx3ft of usable desktop space for my mouse. Its pretty close to from center of the space to close to the edge is 1 full turn. so I can do one full turn either way without having to lift the mouse.

Re: Razer Copperhead

That is a lot of room. I'm picturing you with your arm really far away from your body though, and your shoulder muscle getting tired from all that movement.

I'm really pissed that all my RL friends have 360's instead of PC's. I haven't played console FPS's much since Halo:CE days so my thumbstick aim is really rusty while my mouse aim is decent. I'm going to bite the bullet this Christmas and buy an Xbox though.

Re: Razer Copperhead

It is a lot of room. I actually sit off to the "right" a little so my arm is mostly in a natural position, and my left arm is a little to the left, which isnt bad because its resting on the desktop not moving.

Re: Razer Copperhead

Well, I prefer being able to check back with 1 or 1.5" of movement. I tend to get into very heated, close and personal gunfights in CS and low sensitivity makes me die. Im a lot better and more effective with how I do

I usually avoid going the sniper way, but in places like de_dust or de_dust2 I do, but for the most part Im that grunt that goes around with the famas or the M4 (with silencer off).

I used to be decent online with my 300+ dial up ping (now should be worse), wish we could one day meet up and play between Jumpgate'ers I remember GrimGriz liked CS too.

Re: Razer Copperhead

I rush and die every round, but I normally have the most kills on the server.

Its fun coming into a server where people are camping on both sides, and then just straight rush into the other side before they are set up. The people in the front freak out and block the rest and its like shooting fish in a barrel.

I see nothing wrong about camps as long as its based on the objective. I love CS's firefights. Hows CSS doing?

This is a really comfortable mouse. I am adjusting to it quite nicely. Very well designed IMO.

I never buy a mouse over internet.. I like to feel how it works before I spend money on it. Just like with girls..
