Keyboards and such

So my favorite keyboard just took a nosedive, a nice simple IBM keyboard with a heavy 'clack' and no unnecessary keys. I have plans to move my computer over to TV, so I'd like to get a wireless keyboard to replace it. I need something that will have an extended range, at least 3 meters to cover my living room.

Anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable wireless keyboard (and/or mouse) for couch-to-tv use? Keep in mind I'll also be gaming with this, though I haven't decided what I am going to put the keyboard/mouse on to accomodate that yet (suggestions for that would be welcome as well; bonus for something that would also work with a joystick).

How to leave the Planet:

1. Phone NASA. Their phone number is (731) 483-3111. Explain that it's very important that you get away as soon as possible.

2. If they do not cooperate, phone any friend you may have in the White House - (202) 456-1414 - to have a word on your behalf with the guys at NASA.

3. If you don't have any friends at the White House, phone the Kremlin (ask the overseas operator for 0107-095-295-9051). They don't have any friends there either (at least, none to speak of), but they do seem to have a little influence, so you may as well try.

4. If that also fails, phone the Pope for guidance. His telephone number is 011-39-6-6982, and I gather his switchboard is infailible.

5. If all these attempts fail, flag down a passing flying saucer and explain that it's vitally important you get away before your phone bill arrives.

Any particular reason why? It seems to get pretty poor reviews and doesn't look like it's built for using on a lap.

I like it, it's a good setup. With bluetooth it's even better. The LCD display makes it good for fullscreen gaming too, as you can see things that happen outside the game without alt tab.

Don't know how it will work with a lap, but you didn't say you had a lap
