A little update for any of you that may be interested. The new style is comming along nicely. In fact, it is looking really really cool IMO. It's taking a little longer than I had thought with all the details and finding every little icon in vBulletin and making a whole new one. Hopefully in a week or two it will be running live at Joystick required.

PS: Don't worry, I am not doing any of the graphics. They are being done by a very talented professional. I am just doing the template coding. So don't fear any future ugliness.

For the most part, I thought this one was mighty fine. Then again, I'm used to looking at the jossh and aqm forums

I have loaded the new style even though it is still not finished in a few areas. I notice that there is some postbit issues in Firefox. Which is odd since those issues don't happen on the test site. I will have to work that out. So there is no need to tell me about the missing image over the username and the alignment issue of the buttons. Works fine in IE.

There we go, fixed the postbit. For some reasone the style didn't completely import. Weird

I need to get the PSD's from the graphics artist so I can finish it off. She just had a ton of things going on and hasn't been able to work on lately. I appreciate what she did to this point though.

Well, I like it in general, but the multi-tone gray stuff does make text a little uncomfortable on the eyes, so to speak.

Yeah, there's some option where we can override the default text colors, right?

Oh, also is the joystick logo gonna stay gone?

I should add that I am contemplating droping the whole front page bit and 301'ing the forums to the root. It's just too much work to have a front page for a site thats emphasis is forums.

301 is the HTTP status code for a permanent redirect to another URL, like for example the familiar 404 for "page not found"

And,yes, that text is easier to read on the background color currently being used.
