You may have noticed we have thread tags now. This will eventually help us and others better find topical content at Joystick Required. So please choose your tags wisely when posting a new thread. And of course abusers will get the boot.

I should add that pre-existing threads had their tags made automatically by thread titles. Even though I have a large list of stop words to avoid there will still be some lame ones around. Feel free to report something that is way off.

Why tags you may ask. Well, lets take Jumpgate for instance. A game loved my many of our members. If a Jumpgate topical thread is taged with the term "Jumpgate" then it will apear on the Jumpgate tag page like this. http://joystickrequired.com/forums/tags/jumpgate/

This will make it easier for searchers to find info on Jumpgate. Both here at Joystick Required and on the internet at large. When all those topical tag pages get cached by google then that is a good thing for you, Jumpgate and of course, Jostick Required.

So tag them well, becareful to use informative keywords in your thread titles and feel free to post links to your favorit tag pages on other sites. No spamming though.
