I'm working on the next version. It will have a toolbar option,View latest posts at JSR and possibly what Jumpgate pilots are online.

Hmm, this project is making me depressed. I have it now where the forum links display recent posts. The only problem is that for most of the site, THERE ARE NO RECENT POSTS!

Get to work people! You're making Jumpgate and Joystick gaming look boring to the outside world.

It's gotten worse since I put up the arcade. It was bad enough watching the multitudes come and use my tools without so much as a peep or a thanks. Now I get to watch come play the games and leave.

Maybe this site just needs to go down. It doesn't seem to be very successful.

Anyway, enough depression. The new extension is looking cool.

The extension rocks. It's the only way I get to this site any more, and it's really nice being able to navigate the site so fast. The Jumpgate tools section kicks ass, been using the market thing quite a bit lately, as I've started hauling while I read for my boring ass classes. What we should do it nuke the JOSSH boards and have everyone come over here and use these. JOSSH sucks anyway. Like other people said, I think we should try to make JSR the new JOSSH, at least for information.

Here is a pic the new tool bar with easy access to the latest threads at JSR. The tool bar can be turned off or on at anytime with the right click menu and the drop down is still up top if you need it. I am trying to make it look pretty much like the normal Firefox Livelinks so usability is familiar.

Yes, it takes two seconde to turn off a tool bar. I only have open the ones I currently need.

On a side note: I could use some translators. So if you want to use it and use it in your local language, let me know. It's just straight phrase/term translation, real simple stuff.

Also, if you want your jumpgate site included as a available link, let me know. I can even add a latest posts feed if you have an rss feed. Only one simple requirement to be included and it'sree.

I'll have it installed, doubt I'll use the toolbar though. The spyware infested toolbars of old have caused me to adopt a strict no-toolbar policy.

Making a lot of progress on this. Have all the latest posts per forum working. That was a real chore to deal with, but I worked it out.

There will also be a tab for other jumpgate sites. antikas has agreed to let us put up latest posts from jpr in there with their rss feed. I might even be able to include a now playing feature.

I also worked out a timer system so when you open a menu for a forum and it's post feed is retrieved, it will be cached and won't retrieve again for an hour. We don't want to take the site down with constant hits on the rss feeds.

The pilots online will be timed at 15 minutes. Like I said, this can easily have translations add so if you use it and want it translated, PM me.

Version 0.90 of this extension is up (hmmm, need a name for it).

If you haven't downloaded it yet just go to the page listed above.

If you already have it and FF hasn't told you there is an update yet, simply go into your extension manager and click "find updates." It may have the update icon next to it already.

Not really any changes to the drop down menu other than the removal of the pilots online.

All new is the toolbar. Play with it and let me know what you think.

The pilots online is now at the bottom in your status bar. Just hover your icon and it displays.
