I see Warmonger is out. I'm not sure if it supports software PhysX mode. It most likely does. Check it out and let us know what you think. I'm envying you that do have a PhysX card now. I'm still holding out for the PCE-E version before I think about buying one.

I'm confused...why is it free? I'll be downloading it when I get done with work, but I certainly suspect my 6800 and lack of physics card will make sure it runs questionably at best on my rig.

Ahhh, so it's free because the physics card people paid them to make it? Netdevil is a company, companies are designed to make money, there's definitely a reason the game is free. Sometimes people make games to make money selling the game. Apparently not this time. That's good.

This is actually an act of capitalism I can get behind...entire games for me to enjoy to get me to upgrade my computer That's my kind of commercial!!

Sadly though, I'm nowhere near the sys reqs. It'll be awhile before I toy with this bad boy. Looks like fun though.

I used Total Gaming Files, it was pretty quick

Well now I've got it, I've turned down the graphics all the way to get half decent FPS, and I can't get the GameSpy part to load so I can't play online

Who knows, NetDevil may end up authoring the next engine for tomorrows games. Move over unreal engine.

Installer used two cores for me but it did take a long time. But the installer isn't what is being demoed. The graphics were pretty cool. I can only imagine how cool they would be with a PhysX card. But they were pretty damn good on my 8800.

Without a PhysX card and a really beefy system Warmonger will not perform well. You need to have Comrade installed for the gamespy part to work.
