I have added a new user group to Joystick Required. It is called "Active Members." What does it take to get into this group? Not much at all. Every registered member with three posts will automatically be added to this group. Once you post your third post you will be automatically added to the group on the next hourly update.

I have taken this measure so that our active and participating members can enjoy the benefits of being a member here. There are some good things about to happen and this will ensure that those that contribute can participate in those good things.

The purpose of a forum is discussion so start discussing and you will end up in this group. Only 147 of our members are eligible for this group and have been promoted. If you want to participate in certain events in the near future then I would suggest you make your posts. And as always, spam and crap intended to get the promotion without contributing will be deleted. Just contribute to some of our many conversations and you are in. And you will want to be in.

Then next change is that due to disinterest or disappearance, all moderators on this site have been removed from that position. I have sent them PM's and they can get back on board if they wish to and are to become active again. Or they can ignore my PM. Either way, nothing personal or any hard feelings, just business. I can't do this alone and I need real people that want to help out at my side.

As of today, Diver012 and Milkman have been promoted to Moderators. I hope you all give them a welcome and I'm sure they will fit right in. Despite what some that never even participate here might say, we don't moderate much at Joystick Required. Just don't hijack threads or be rude and insulting and all is good.

OK, Tim and Lavey are back on board as Mods. I still need more help around here.

After consulting with the Staff here I have lowered the active membership requirements to three posts. That brings the total promoted members to 191. That pretty much covers anyone that has been around lately.

However I have set some permissions to not take affect until members are in this user group. Such as signatures and avatars and such.
