LOL, That would be way complicated eh? Heck, I can probably find Aluminum my next dump too.
![]() I'll wait patiently for you to gather all the numbers on that extra slag. |

I don't recall where, offhand, but doesn't CaptainCow also have a breakdown, somewhere online, of how much of what ore you get for each unit mined from a roid type? It seems to me that with such data, one could do some math to get the complete breakdown of commodities in a unit of ore mined from any given asteroid type.

Quick JOSSH forum search (for which I didn't have time, as of my previous post) found the goodies in question: CaptainCow's ore breakdown report
That doesn't mean I'm volunteering to do the number crunching myself, by the way. Math has always been one of my weak points. ![]() |

Ok, I need a little math help. Carbon comes in both Semi and Ice. Typically, I use the formula 1/(ore purity*roid purity) to get how many units you need to mine from a roid to get 1 unit. For example, Aluminum: 1/(16%*93.97%) = 6.65. If you mine 6.65 units from a common roid, you can make 1 alu.
Carbon however, comes in both Semi and Ice. Semi is 24% carbon and ice is 9% carbon. If you mine a semi roid for carbon, you not only get the 1/(24%*63.33%), you also get the 1/(9%*0.93%). I need a formula I can drop in excel that takes those facts into account..... ![]() |

Here's a preview of the data jump. Let me know if you want me to finish.
Code:
Common PM Semi Rad Ice Aluminum 7 12 20 17 667 Antimony 3651 1641 53 364 3364 Barium 27 49 79 70 79 Boron 756 1339 1537 1475 15 Carbon 7 11 Cesium 2437 1306 2790 51 2701 Chromium 21 39 63 56 2134 Cobalt 348 187 399 7 386 Copper 10 7 Erbium 2190 984 32 218 2018 Gallium 13 25 39 35 1334 Germanium 842 379 12 84 776 |

High numbers indicate that a commodity has a very low yield from the given roid type. Take Cesium from a Semi - you get so little Cesium from a Semi roid that you would have to mine 2790 units of ore from a semi roid before you get 1 unit of Cesium. Inversed, that means that for every 1 unit of ore you mine from a semi roid you get 0.000035 (1/2790) units of cesium. Alternatively, a rad roid will give you 1 unit of Cesium every 51 units of ore mined, or 0.019 (1/51) units for every 1 unit of ore mined.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but there is an error in your data, Solrain Core doesnt produce chemicals. Not knowing your data format im not sure where the error is, but if its from JOSSH direct then perhaps a new startegy is in order...or you can just ignore it

I've done some testing of Storm Chasing with the FuelScoop ModX, and have posted the data on the JOSSH Forums:
http://forums.jossh.com/showthread.p...threadid=25859 I'll post the relevant percentages here, but I think it should be added to the new production lister. Helium in specific is much easier to get in storms. These percentages are thanks to Luftikuss's testing and used with permission. Quote:
